During 2001 while both on maternity leave the directors of WeeWunz realised there was a definite gap in the child care market. Both needed child care, however waiting lists were longer than their prescribed maternity leave. As a result the idea of WeeWunz was formed - corporate child care solutions for busy working parents and their employers.

Since its beginning the scope of services offered by WeeWunz has broadened to meet the needs of a growing market.
